JJ hung this suit on his wall as a prize possession, and this deleted scene shows what JJ did with the suit after-hours. Formed in 1975 they predated the New Wave Of British Heavy Metal, already a serious hard hitting live act before the NWOBHM bands came on the scene. Everyone, me included, thought they would be huge one day, especially when NWOBHM fever hit in 1980. Maddeningly, bizzarely, myseriosly - they were never signed by a major label. The legacy they left behind, two EPs and a self released cassette tape, are fantastic and they have aquired cult status as one of the very best unsigned bands ever... ...but the story isn't quite finished, yet. Here was a great pairing, probably the best pairing of commentators ever - Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan, whose on-air banter is perhaps the funniest banter you'll hear in pro wrestling. Here's a selection of their banter from a match at the WWF's Royal Rumble 1992, between the Bushwhackers and the Beverly Brothers. You've got several things exhibited at once here. First off, you've got the match, which you probably shouldn't bother watching, because, first off, it's been clipped off badly - it's not the focus of the video, and secondly, it's not that great of a match to begin with. Secondly, you've got a ridiculously stupid character working as the Bushwhacker's manager, a dude known as Jameson, who was, essentially, the WWF's resident idiot. Thirdly, you've got the banter between Monsoon and Heenan. Heenan rips Jameson to shreds here, while Monsoon tries to defend him. Meanwhile, of course, this is the '92 Royal Rumble, and Heenan is agonizing over what number Ric Flair picked for the Rumble, and you'll hear some of this agonizing here. You'll love this.
